A message from CEO & Abuse Prevention Coordinator, Amy Shields
Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of elders is a subject dif cult to discuss. As a community taking care of some of the most vulnerable in our population, it is something that we take seriously and will investigate. No matter where you live on the St. Dominic Village campus, we have a zero tolerance policy for abuse.
Each resident has the right to be free from mistreatment, neglect, abuse, involuntary seclusion, injuries of unknown origin and misappropriation of property. St. Dominic Village has a strict policy that any observation or allegation of abuse, neglect or exploitation must immediately be reported to the Abuse Prevention Coordinator. Here at St. Dominic Village, Amy Shields, CEO, serves as the Abuse Prevention Coordinator. You can reach her at 713-741-8787 or ashields@stdominicvillage.org.
If anyone living at or visiting our campus ever sees, hears or thinks abuse has or may have occurred you are obligated to report this immediately. The facility will then begin an investigation to ensure that all residents here on campus are safe. It takes a village to support our mission of Caring for Our Elders with the Compassion of Christ.
If you have any questions or concerns about this please contact Amy Shields, CEO. Thank You.
